The Sites

No trip to Athens would be complete without a visit to Acropolis. If you’re lucky you can catch a summer concert at the Odeon of Herodus Atticus. Built in 161 AD, this theatre’s acoustics are still spectacular and the knowledge that the ancients gathered on the same spot over 800 years ago, only makes the experience all the more memorable.

The National Archaeological Museum in Athens is another must see site and houses one of the world’s most extensive collections of relics from the ancient world. It’s home to an amazing collection of sculpture from Greece and beyond, as well as an impressive Egyptian artefact collection. This stop is a must for those who want to see the treasures, pottery and artwork of the ancients.

For an incredible panoramic view of Athens, head up to Lykavittos Hill. If you’re in shape then brave the hike. When you reach the top, you’ll feel like you’re on top of the world!

For those less inclined towards physical exertion on holiday jump into one of Athen’s very affordable cabs. When you get dropped off you only have to climb a few flights of stairs to take in this spectacular view.
