It was absolutely a great place to stay - the rooms were clean, the staff (especially Nicky) was incredibly friendly and you can't beat the view from the rooftop bar. I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

As in real-estate and hostels, it’s LOCATION-LOCATION-LOCATION and ATHENSYLE has it. Athens will unfold for you from your base at ATHENSYLE. The Metro at Monastirake Square is just a 3 minute walk and your bus connections and the coastal tram is just 10 minutes away at Syntagma Square. Walk in any direction and in just minutes you will find the best food that Athens has to offer. From glorious cafes and tavernas to wonderful 1-2 euros cheese and spinach pies for your walking lunch. Grab your fast Athensyle breakfast with just baked bread from the bakery just up the street (you will be awakened with the smell of the bakery permeating the streets around your hostel) and then off to the Acropolis just 10 minutes away. Minutes away from the Plaka where you can shop till you drop with stores running the range from fine jewelry and clothing stores to schloky souvenir shops. Good nightlife is just a 10 minute stroll to the Gazi neighborhood or up to the roof top bar and take in the wonderful view of the Acropolis at night. “One more big draft MYTHOS please”. ATHENSTYLE has it all and is very friendly to both the young and old traveler

Might be the best hostel i've stayed in so far. fresh-friendly-cosy-clean clean clean oh yes clean. The staff was amazing!!! So friendly and helpful they even showed us around Athens . Great location, literally in the center of Athens surrounded from what seemed to be the hot spots of bars and cafes, although we spent most of the nights at the hostel’s roof bar, the view from up there was awesome!!! never imagined i would be holding my …eehhh 5th eehh 6th beer while watching the acropolis from so close.
