The Circus Hostel in Back!
For three months at the beginning of 2010, the Circus Hostel in Berlin was closed for renovations. Now it is back, a new-look hostel that combines The Circus traditions of service and quality with new infrastructure and features that reflect the highest standards of hostel design for the new decade.
What’s New?
The reception and façade of the building have been completely re-styled, with more social space for guests to meet and hang-out in, whilst upstairs there are new shower systems and furniture and design in the dorms, private rooms and apartments, including lock-boxes for each bed. Other changes beneath the surface have improved the energy efficiency of the building, whilst the Circus team has spent the renovation period developing their own unique city guide to Berlin, available on a touch-screen in the reception, on the website, and through facebook.
What Remains?
We still have our cozy street café for breakfast and afternoon meals and beers, and Goldman’s Bar in has been spruced up ready for more long and hedonistic nights in the basement. And of course, the Circus commitment to service remains unchanged…with all the goodies – such as bike, Segway and smart car rental, iPods and laptops to borrow, football and basketball tickets, walking tours and guestcard discounts – available when you arrive. Located in a building from the early 20th century which was completely renovated in 2001, the Circus Hostel dominates the "Rosenthaler Platz" in Berlin's pounding heart - "Mitte".
The Circus Hostel offers a wide range, from a bed in a dorm to the apartments with a breathtaking view over the city. The hostel reception staff helps you with all questions you might have, provides you with all info concerning Berlin, gives you all visa-information, books your next stop etc. The famous all-you-can-breakfast till 1pm as well as evening meals are served in the Circus(Street)Cafè.
If you wish to meet fellow travellers or fellow Berliners, Goldman's Bar in the Circus basement is your place to go. DJ's and daily changing events (Karaoke, Party, open-mic-nights, live sport-events...). The Circus Guestcard helps you saving money on clubs, restaurants, money exchange etc.
