Hostel Information
Budapest is a city of history, sophistication and beauty, and our hostel there is no different. Occupying a former royal mansion built by the Habsburg dynasty, retaining many of its original features such as the fireplaces, this really is a step above your average youth hostel. Built around a quiet courtyard, the Maverick offers the perfect calm respite from a hectic day spent in the Hungarian capital.
The hostel is located incredibly centrally, just moments away from the Danube, giving you maximum time to spend discovering this magnificent city, often cited as one of the most beautiful of Europe. The architecture is a stunning mix of styles, from Classicist to Gothic, Roman ruins to Art Nouveau, testaments to the high status the city has held under different occupations and empires. With all these different styles jostling for supremacy, Budapest has a uniquely eclectic feel and look that rewards extended exploration.
The helpful staff will do all they can to ensure you have the best possible experience during your time in the city, and the hostel itself is always kept to the utmost standard of cleanliness. There are rooms available to suit every budget and every wish, with comfortable dorms available, or ensuite double rooms for those seeking a little privacy. A kitchen is situated on every floor, where you can help yourself to tea and coffee throughout the day, at no cost to yourself. Towels are also provided, and internet access so you can keep in touch with friends and family back home.
