Things to do in Copenhagen

The location of Copenhagen Downtown is extraordinarily central in all respects. In the middle of town, in the middle of the culture, and in the middle of the events. The area offers trendy music venues, conceptual stores, festive bars, exciting galleries, cosy coffee shops and fine restaurants from all price categories.
On the opposite part of Copenhagen Downtown, there is the historic Vandkunsten (fountain). During the Middle Ages, this was a mill pond and in the 1600s was built by Kong Christian III as the first pumping station named Vandkunsten (fountain). The current fountain dates from 1910 and is located on one of the oldest street signs dating from 1770. The square has always been used for fish market and flea market square, and today is a wonderful oasis of cafés. Around the corner you will find the beautiful canals of Copenhagen and Christiansborg Palace housing the Parliament. The shopping mecca street is just up of this street and is the world’s longest pedestrian street.
