Naples Guide

Naples is what some would describe as an acquired taste, but there’s certainly nowhere quite like this city for getting the true ‘Italian experience’. The atmosphere in this city is second to none. Forget all the scare stories you’ve heard, and you will be heavily rewarded.

Nested in one of the world's most beautiful bays around 200km south of Rome, Naples is also the gateway to the active volcano Vesuvius, the Roman remains of Pompeii and Herculaneum and the world famous Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Capri Island.

Naples is famous not only as the true home of the Pizza but has arguably the best cuisine in the whole of Italy, coupled with some of the best prices too. If coffee is your thing then Naples, again, will not disappoint, there’s nothing better to start off your day in Naples than a rich, Neapolitan coffee.

The Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi Coast

The Amalfi coast is a stretch of coastline around 60km south of Naples. The start is at Sorrento and it continues through the town of Positano, Amalfi, Atrani, Maiori and Vietri sul Mare to finish up in the largest town south of Naples, Salerno. Day trips to the Amalfi Coast couldn't be easier from Naples with both buses and trains running regularly.
