Kabul Youth Hostel in Barcelona

Chimneys of Casa Mila

The Kabul Hostel, Europe's Famous Hostel in Barcelona, has taken on a completely different look in the last few years. Whilst the rooms and bathrooms have been renovated for some time now, the reception area and bar/common room are both completely new. If you came to Kabul Hostel Barcelona before these renovations were completed, you truly wouldn't recognise it now. One of the most popular additions has to be the mural of La Ramblas which covers the entire back wall - amazing!

By day the common room, which is open all day, is the best place to relax in air conditioned comfort and catch up on those never-ending emails (for free!). And by night it converts into the famous bar - a great place to relax, reflect on your day, and plan the night ahead over a drink or 2, whilst getting to know other guests from all over the world.

One thing however that has not changed at Kabul is it's fantastic location! Located in the heart of Barcelona in Plaza Real, Kabul Hostel has everything just a stones throw away. By day all the museums, Gaudi Houses, cafes, parks, shops and more shops, and not to forget the beach! are only a short stroll away. Or a cheap metro trip away to visit Park Guell or the Sagrada Familia.

By night, Plaza Real is surrounded by many fantastic restaurants, bars and nightclubs, catering to all budget travels and tastes. You'll have a great time winding your way through the narrow streets to find them!

If you're not up to planning your days or nights yourself, you can always take advantage of the many organised cheap activities - such as bike tours, the best overview of the city in a fun and entertaining way; the pub crawl, which gives you a taste of Barcelona's nightlife, and if you're really adventurous you could always take advantage of many of the amazing day trips - sea kayaking tours of the Costa Brava (fantastic!), mountaineering, countryside wine tasting or short trail and medieval village walks...

If you prefer to venture off on your own, there are many places to go day tripping, such as Sitges, just a 20 minute train ride south of the city, or Figueres, the home of the Dali Museum, which is only an hour north by train.
