After a day of activities in the mountains or simply strolling around town, relax and order a cold beer in our Biergarten (in summer) and enjoy the great food from our outdoor grill. We are well known for the “best burgers in town” with a great selection of meals, salads and snacks, something for every travelers budget.

Downstairs is the famous Metro Bar, the number one hotspot in Interlaken for partying. Meet a unique mix of locals and international travelers in a friendly, fun environment. Enjoy live sports on the big screen, live music, international DJ’s and Theme Parties.

The hostel has three buildings, the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, each room is unique with a touch of traditional Swiss character. We provide dormitories, private rooms and apartments. For those seeking longer term stays; with families; or simply the quieter side of hostelling we recommend Balmer’s Guest House apartments. Facilities include semi-ensuite bathroom, kitchen and cable TV.

Balmer’s Tent Village is a comfortable place to sleep in a rural setting, and only 800m from the main hostel. Waking up in the tents you can enjoy spectacular views of the mountains in the Jungfrau region. If you are looking for something a little cheaper but with all the comforts of the hostel try our tent village with hot showers, bedding, high ceiling tents, wooden floors, heating and electricity.
