Morag’s Lodge is ideally located and the perfect base for exploring Loch Ness and the Scottish Highlands. Set in it’s own wooded grounds just a few minutes walk from the centre of the bustling wee village of Fort Augustus and righton the banks of Loch Ness and its famous inhabitant.

Full of Facilities

As well as the best hostel accommodation around we have everything you need for a great stay in the heart of the Highlands. We have a fully equipped self-catering kitchen, dining room, large sun lounge, TV lounge (with super-relaxing beanbags!) and internet access. We also have our own bar complete with a real open fire for those winter nights and beer garden for the summer where we have regular live music! We also offer breakfast, packed lunches and dinner if required.

Out and About

No visit to Scotland can be complete without a spot of Nessie-spotting and the loch is only a few minutes walk from Morag’s Lodge. We can even arrange a cruise to take you out onto the water for a closer look. Once you have your picture of Nessie, our friendly team will be more than willing to offer advice on local walks and cycle routes surrounding the hostel. We even have bikes for hire to help you explore the beautiful area. Further afield there are plenty of castles and whisky distilleries to visit, Inverness, capital of the Highlands, is only 54 kilometres away and there are adventure activities such as white water rafting and winter skiing within easy reach of the hostel too.
