The Snowdrop Festival
Start Date: 1st Feb 2010
End Date: 15th Mar 2010
Duration: 43 days
Description:
The Snowdrop Festival: Like the cherry blossoms in Japan, Scottish snowdrops bloom during a specific time of the year – now! They delight everyone who comes across them so if you want to catch a glimpse too, head to the display at the Royal Botanical Gardens. Better yet if the weather is nice, take a walk up the path next to the Water of Leith - to get there. You can also enjoy this little festival at the Shepherd House Garden (in Invereks) or by travelling a little south of the city to the Hopetoun House - where you can walk through an amazing stretch of parkland. Even if you stay right in the centre of Edinburgh, you can still see patches of this pretty little white flower, almost everywhere.
