Top Ten Things To Do Before You Die

The Top Ten Things to do Before You Die

  1. Get Out Now
Travel the World Quit your soulless, meagre, money making agency job, tell your boss where to shove it and book a happy making - round the world ticket. When you look back at your life in fifty years - you’ll be glad you did.
  2. Skydiving
Skydive in Australia Do a skydive over Airlie beach in Australia. It’s the only place in the world where you can fall for 14,000 feet instead of 12,000. Do it in winter and float down over the Great Barrier Reef and the Great Humpback Whales - migrating north to warmer waters.
  3. The World's Best Ice Cream
Eat ice cream in Italy Buy an ice cream or seven from the world famous San Crispino in Rome. You’ll find it at 42, Via della Panetteria and you won’t fine better gelato anywhere else - in the whole wide world.
  4. Bike Across Crotia
Visit Hvar in Croatia Go to Croatia and take a ferry from Split to Hvar. This paradise island is perfect for a day of high altitude bike riding - through fantastic scenery and then a well earned cold beer at the end. Also it was a favourite get away for Jackie Kennedy - so it’s good enough for us.
  5. Speed Boating in Cardiff
Speed boat in Cardiff Jump on a train or plane to Cardiff and step onto a speed boat for a thrash about in the bay. The cold splash back is bracing, the scenery of this former coal mining port is now environmentally stunning and the bars and cafes along the quai will leave you spoilt for chilling out choice.
  6. Check Out The View From Primrose Hill
View from Primrose Hill, Camden Take some time out during any trip to London and head up to Primrose Hill, near Camden. The views of the city skyscape from this mini mountain are breath taking and make you realise just how massive, and diverse the British capital is.
  7. Dine 1815 Feet Above The Ground
CN Tower in Toronto, Canada Hop over the Atlantic pond, head into Toronto and ascend the CN Tower for a meal in the rotating restaurant – 1815 feet above the ground! This pre satellite-communication-age tower was built to beam transmissions over the curve of the earth and now it’s an awesome eatery with a slightly scary glass floor.
  8. Eat The Best Belgium Chocolates
Visit the City of Bruges, Belgium Make an expedition to the sleepy backwaters of Bruges and eat your own body weight in salted caramel chocolates. This Belgium city has a bad reputation for being boring but you won’t agree after you head down to The Chocolate Line on Simon Stevinplein and make the most of this totally organic chocolaterie. Diets be damned.
  9. Photograph Berlin
Visit Marx Engles Forum in Berlin, Germany Go to Berlin, take a camera and set yourself up at Marx-Engels-Forum near Alexanderplatz. From this vantage point you can just about capture the entire de-centralised, architectural aftermath of the Cold War. A good shot will cram in the TV Tower, the Rote Rathaus and much more.
  10. Dead Celebrity Spotting
Pere Lanchaise cemetery in Paris, France Go celebrity grave spotting at the Père Lachaise – a la Paris. This expansive cemetery can be found east of the city centre and it is in fact the final resting place of Mr Jim Morrison, his considerable musical talent and literary rock star Oscar Wilde. Alas it does span 109 acres so you’ll need to buy a map from just outside the cemetery’s own Metro Station.
