Bruges plays host to one of the most beautiful Christmas markets in the whole of Europe. An enormous ice rink is built in the centre of the market square (Grote Markt)  and is open to the public every night.  Both locals and tourists meet on the ice rink to show off their moves – or at least try to stay up!  More of the Bruges Christmas Market stalls are set up along the Simon Stevinplein.
