Posted at:15 March, 2016 in Blog, Special Events

It’s a celebration! Czech Inn Hostel in Prague is turning 10 years old

Czech Inn is the baby (yet the biggest) in the Bohemian Hostels family. It was one of the first hostels to combine modern, industrial design and luxuries so far only known from hotels with the social atmosphere of your favorite backpacker joint. Czech Inn is turning 10 years this month and wants YOU to join the celebrations at the Czech Inn’s Birthday Party!

The Bohemian Hostels story dates back to ‘99, when Sir Toby’s opened with just ten beds… And zero guests…

Fifteen years and thousands of guests later, the family has grown to include the boutique beauty Miss Sophie’s and yours truly, the chic and sleek Czech Inn.

Czech Inn would love you to come over to Prague and be a part of their 10-year story, so they have prepared a small token of appreciation for those who decided to celebrate Czech Inn’s Birthday Party with them : a generous 33% discount valid for bookings on their website from March 17 to 24.

Of course, they’ve got more aces up their sleeves, so get ready for photo workshops and tours through the neighborhood with Prague geek Richard, a clothes exchange and a birthday festival on March 21 offering a face painting workshop, beer tasting with Two Tales, improvisation comedy, a food truck and more.

Why The Czech Inn, Prague?

Mathias, one of the owners of the Bohemian Hostel family is laughing when he remembers how it all started: “There was a rumor about Vršovice that no business was going to survive there, that it is somehow cursed.”

Well, 10 years later it’s more alive than ever, guests love the local experience and the buzz around the area keeps on growing – and so does Czech Inn itself. Just this year it opened up new custom-designed premium dorms and rumor has it that a huge and cozy common area with a guest kitchen is to follow sometime soon.

Czech Inn is especially proud of its location in the Vršovice area on the top of Krymská street which has been given credit by the New York Times as one of their favorite streets in Europe 2015.  New bars, restaurants, and shops keep on popping up here on an almost monthly basis and Czech Inn is proud to have been one of the first to see the potential of this truly picturesque neighborhood with its small houses tucked in cobblestone lanes and some of Prague’s most beautiful parks and views very close by.

Czech Inn’s basement bar lived through some wild times when an artist collective asked to use it for an event and ended up squatting there for a while back in 2010… Since then it has become a well-known and appreciated concert venue not only for travelers but also for Prague’s locals.

Czech Republic’s Best Beer

Quirky decoration and some of Czech Republic’s best beer are two more reasons for you to check it out – and which occasion could be better Czech Inn’s Birthday Party!
