Paris is a huge city, and getting around can be time consuming. das Paris metro system is easy to use and efficient, but there are better ways to see the city!
The best way to see any European city is by scooter or bike, and electric scooter and bike rental companies are all over Paris! Lime, WIND, Circ, and BIRD are just a few of the many brands available in Paris. All you have to do is download the app, turn on your GPS, and find the bike or scooter nearest you!
Another great way to ensure you see all the sights is a bus tour. You can purchase a day ticket, which allows you to hop on and off wherever the bus stops, and as a bonus, you learn tons of interesting facts about the landmarks on the tour!
One of the first places you’ll want to visit is the Eiffel Tower. It’s easily the most recognisable landmark in Paris, and a must visit! Pack a picnic lunch and take in its splendour during the day, and return at night to see it sparkle!
Any Paris Guide is incomplete without the mention of the Louvre und Musee d’Orsay! Both are hugely popular museums, and even if you don’t have time to have a proper visit, the exteriors are enough to marvel at. But if you’re an art fan, we recommend Musee d’Orsay as it’s less busy and overwhelming than the Louvre!
A romantic night cruise along Seine River is highly recommended – the views are breathtaking, offering a different perspective of Paris.
Essen und trinken
Food is hugely important for the French, and Paris doesn’t disappoint! While in Paris, one must try traditional pastries, baguette, macron, and crêpe. We also recommend sitting at a cafe terrace to enjoy a cappuccino and a pastry, just like the locals do!
Paris is also full of amazing food markets if you want to prepare your own meals, or have a picnic lunch. Markets are a cheaper way to explore the gastro side of Paris, and will put you more in touch with the locals.

Shopping is delightful in Paris, whether you’re looking to window-shop or indulge. If you’re after the designer & couture goods, then head to the famous Champs Elysees!
But Paris isn’t just about the expensive goods. If you’re an avid bargain hunter nothing beats Vide Greniers (Attic Sales) which occupies several blocks of neighbourhoods selling second hand goods. There are also many one-off vintage shops like Free “P”Star und Coiffeur Vintage. The queues might be long at these shops but they move quickly, and it’s worth it to get those one of a kind pieces!
And of course, scent-lovers should not miss out in the French capital! Paris’s many glamorous boutique perfumeries offer the most heady, glitzy fragrances, and can make for a great souvenir from your adventures.
