Realejo is the old Jewish district, and is also the home of “El Niño de las Pinturas”, a famous urban artist. Calle Molinos, Calle Pavaneras, some parks, and a few areas near the bus station are worth checking out. Other Spanish and international artists have their work here, like Drew, Yukka, Gata Cattana, Hilos, and Belin.

This is the second oldest neighbourhood of Granada, and is one of the city’s best kept secrets. For awhile, this area was the home of Granadian Gypsy culture, artists, hippies, and nomads from all over the world.

If you like hiking, you’ve got to try the famous, “Los Cahorros” route! This hiking trail is located in the beautiful and wild Sierra Nevada Natural Park.

The park is located almost 2000 meters above sea level and is well known for its 5 different suspension bridges, various waterfalls, and the, “Tunel de las Palomas”, a cool tunnel cave where the Monachil River runs through.

Many plants, herbs, and some Instagram-worthy goats on the trail will undoubtedly give you an experience like no other. And if you’re not afraid of cold water you’ll also have the chance to take a dip in one of the park’s waterfalls!

4.Carmen y Campo de los Martyres

Carmen y Campo de los Martyres is full of birds, squirrels, flowers, and is a great escape from the crowds at the tourist hotspots. The field where the palace was built is called the, Field of Ahabul“, which is where King Boabdil handed over his beloved city to the Christians in 1492.
