#archeologia#archaeology #storia #history #arte #arts #culture #cultura #storia #roma #ancientrome #rimini #ariminum #domus #chirurgo #domusdelchirurgo #tabernamedica #villa

4. City Museum

The city museum is in an 18th century Jesuit convent, next to the Church of the Suffrage. It’s home to lots of cultural and historical artefacts, including a section celebrating Imperial Rimini in the 2nd and 3rd centuries. This is also where you can see the famous mosaic of the ancient ships!

5. Borgo San Giuliano

This area is a must visit! It’s full of ancient and medieval buildings, many having been restored with pastel colours and murals. It’s a pleasure to walk around the little roads and squares with friends, or alone!

6. Fellini

Rimini is the birthplace of Federico Fellini who is known for his world of cinematic fantasy. Fellini often used Rimini as a backdrop in his films and we love him for it!

If you want the Fellini experience, start at Parco Fellini for a view the white Grand Hotel. You can sleep in the Fellini suite or have the Fellini menu for dinner. After dinner, you can head to the harbour and the ‘palata’ where the young men in the film, “Vitelloni” liked to endlessly philosophise.

7. Malatesta Temple

The Malatesta Temple, commissioned by Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta is a Renaissance masterpiece. It was built as a mausoleum for his 3rd and last wife, Isotti degli Atti, however it was never finished. Today it contains a series of treasures, including a crucifix by Giotto, and a fresco by Piero della Francesca.
