Everything you need to know about The Valencian Community Motorcycle Grand Prix

About the circuit

The Circuit Ricardo Tormo, in the Valencian Community, is one of the best circuits in the current scene. It owes its name to the double world champion of 50 cc, Ricardo Tormo (the first Valencian to conquer a world title), who died in 1998 after losing the battle against leukemia.

The circuit has won several prizes in the Motorcycle World Championship, being voted as the best track in the world in 2003, 2004 and 2006.

With a capacity for 120,000 fans and some 65,000 seats, it offers a complete view of the entire route.

A must for all fans of motorcycles!

What better track could you ask for to house the end of the 2018 season?

With a design of American influence, there are many positions that give spectators a view of the whole route. The circuit plays an important role in the area, since around 2,000 people work in its facilities when the MotoGP attends its annual meeting.

Funny fact about this year race is that after 18 years as a protagonist in the World Championship, Daniel Pedrosa announces his farewell to the competitive activity that will take place at the end of the season: “Next year I will not be in MotoGP, my career ends with this season and the Valencia race”.

Valencia’s weather

Valencia enjoys great weather all year round, however the MotoGP arrives in November as temperatures start to drop ahead of winter. Average daily highs are around 20°C and nightly lows of 8°C, so it can get cold after dark. Rain is also fairly uncommon in Valencia during the whole year.

What about accommodation?

There is plenty of accommodation near the circuit along the A3 motorway, but the best spots to stay can get booked up fairly quickly and are pretty expensive. Another option is to book accommodation in Valencia. What about a hostel?

Purple Nest Hostel offers both private and shared rooms at a very competitive price.

Have you already bought your ticket for MotoGP Valencia 2018 at the Cheste Circuit?

If not yet, bad news, unfortunately, they are sold out. But don’t worry! If you didn’t get the chance to book it, you can still join us at the hostel, we will watch the race together at our bar, and party all night long like a real biker.

Live 3 days of competition, nerves and excitement with this great show. Are you really going to miss it?
