Basic Infos

Budapest is not only one of the most beautiful cities in Europe along the River Danube but it
is also rightfully called the City of the Thermal Spas. Indeed, under the city there are many
and many natural sources of thermal water providing unique possibilities for the city. The
bathing culture of the city is super important for both locals and tourists as well. This tradition
has been playing an important role in the city life for centuries. The thermal pools not only
refresh your body but they are perfect to calm your soul too. Besides the thermal pools, there
are several other options to relax and treat yourself in these spas such as saunas, massages,
fun wave pools, whirlpools or swimming pools and many more. You can even have a rave
there as some of the spas have special bath parties (Sparty) with hip music, vivid lights and
perfect cocktails. While our most famour spas are the Széchenyi and Gellért with their
classical and grande architecture it is also worthy to mention that you can find a few Turkish
baths on the Buda side which the Turks built here in 16th century while the country had been
occupied by the Ottoman Empire for a 150 years. The interiors here are very intimate, simple
and historical. If you feel like deserving a treat the spa is definitely the place to be! You can
even buy your tickets in advance at our reception and skip waiting in the line. Sounds like a
plan, right?
