Top Things to Do in Rimini
Rimini is full of things to do! It is one of the most famous beach regions in Europe, but there is more to discover than just sun and a good time! Whether you want to party or relax, there is something for everyone! Read on to learn about the top things to do in Rimini!
1. The Old Fish Market (Vecchia Pescheria)
Of course our first suggestion is a party! Crowds of people meet here in the evenings to have a drink and socialise.
le Old Fish Market is known for its trendy cafes, clubs, and restaurants in historic buildings. The medieval squares and romantic lanes in the area makes it the Montmartre of Rimini!
2. Life on the beach

The city museum is in an 18th century Jesuit convent, next to the Church of the Suffrage. It’s home to lots of cultural and historical artefacts, including a section celebrating Imperial Rimini in the 2nd and 3rd centuries. This is also where you can see the famous mosaic of the ancient ships!
5. Borgo San Giuliano
This area is a must visit! It’s full of ancient and medieval buildings, many having been restored with pastel colours and murals. It’s a pleasure to walk around the little roads and squares with friends, or alone!
6. Fellini
Rimini is the birthplace of Federico Fellini who is known for his world of cinematic fantasy. Fellini often used Rimini as a backdrop in his films and we love him for it!
If you want the Fellini experience, start at Parco Fellini for a view the white Grand Hotel. You can sleep in the Fellini suite or have the Fellini menu for dinner. After dinner, you can head to the harbour and the ‘palata’ where the young men in the film, “Vitelloni” liked to endlessly philosophise.
7. Malatesta Temple
The Malatesta Temple, commissioned by Sigismondo Pandolfo Malatesta is a Renaissance masterpiece. It was built as a mausoleum for his 3rd and last wife, Isotti degli Atti, however it was never finished. Today it contains a series of treasures, including a crucifix by Giotto, and a fresco by Piero della Francesca.
