YOU'RE GONNA LOVE Belgrade
Belgrade should not just be seen as a party destination however; the city dates back to the 4th Century and has a rich history, both ancient and modern. Having been the capital of the Kingdom of Yugoslavia until its final dissolution in 2006, and the capital city of Serbia since then, Belgrade has recently been nominated for the title European City of Culture for 2020.
In 1999, during the Kosovo War, NATO bombings caused substantial damage to the city, and although some damage can still be seen today, Belgrade's centre is beautifully clean and well presented. Head up to the main city park and enjoy the fantastic views to where the two rivers the Danube and the Sava meet.
