The city has recently become one of the favourites for Stag Parties from throughout Europe, but even these can be avoided if you choose your venues carefully. Check out our list of the top bars and clubs to enjoy Bratislava nightlife.
Located on Laurinska Street in central Bratislava, this underground rock club will greet you on the stairs with a massive (statue of an) alligator. But keep on going, this is one of the city’s best venues for live music and rock anthems and they have a great selection of local wines and strong cocktails. The centre of the dancefloor is actually a boxing ring so get up early to secure your place on the dancefloor!
Prone to giving out shots of Schnapps every now and again, Cocoloco is one of Bratislava’s best cocktail bars. The prices are good and the drinks are well made. You’ll find this bar in the Old Town of Bratislava on Namestie SNP 1. They have around 120 cocktails on the menu and are open late at weekends.
You’ll find Cafe Viki on Banskobystrická 18, close to the Presidential Palace. It’s a laid back place that also has two computers that you can access the internet from. It’s a place more popular with locals than tourists and that’s also reflected in their prices.
Downtown is a hip and trendy bar that also serves decent food. As the name suggests it’s in Bratislava’s downtown area.
This club is all about entertainment with cocktails, dancing, and live music being the venue. There are open mic nights where visitors are allowed to participate provided they bring their own musical instrument. And best of all, the club is situated inside a renovated boat house.
