Top 10 Things to See in London

Top 10 Things to See in London

London has an infinite amount of things to see, but it’s easier to plan when you know where to start. Famous for its culture, the Royal Family, world famous art, and free museums, it can get overwhelming. Here are the top 10 things to see in London.

The Top 10 Things to See in London!

1. Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre

While it’s not the original theatre where Shakespeare’s plays were performed, it’s the closest you can get! For lover’s of the old theatre, you can still catch plays during the season! It runs from April to October. Check out the programme for more information!

2. Spitalfield’s Market

An East End gem that caters to locals and travellers alike. Pick up vintage fashion, grab some food, check out the arts and crafts, and chill out in a bar when you’re done.

3. West End Theatre

If you love big theatre, then the West End is definitely one of the top things to do in London! Check out some websites like TicketMaster and LastMinute if you want to score a deal on a show ticket, sometimes for as little as £30.  Also remember that there’s good theatre across the city and it can be seen on the cheap or even for free!

4. Primrose Hill

There’s one spot in the city where you can gaze in awe of the London skyline at the impressive and sprawling urban mass. This popular observation point and picnic spot is a 10 min walk north of Camden and on a clear day, there’s no better place to snap a few photos!

5. Greenwich

This home of time…since 1884! The Greenwich Meridian runs through here and the views from the hill are spectacular. Check out the Royal Observatory to learn more about its significance.

6. The Tate Modern

The Tate is known for pushing the boundaries of contemporary art. And if you didn’t know, London’s museums are free, including the Tate! There’s bound to be something spectacular to capture your imagination and fire up your creative side. A great thing to do in London!

7. Borough Market

This is an incredible experience ‐ especially on weekend mornings. You can get everything from Ostrich eggs, hyper‐organic wheatgrass shots, deep fried Japanese seaweed, and so much more. The coffee shops serve some of the best espresso you’ll find in London.

8. Tower of London

A trip to the British capital isn’t complete without a visit to London Tower! Packed to the brim with history, it’s not a place to be missed. From infamous beheadings, to the current home of the Crown Jewels, you can’t imagine the stories within these walls!

9. Buckingham Palace

Home of the Queen! This is likely one of the most recognisable and frequented places in London. You can go for the Changing of the Guards ceremony, but in reality, you won’t see much anyway due to the crowds. So check it out when you want!

10. Camden Market

Our last suggestion on the top things to do in London is a visit to Camden Market! You won’t be disappointed in the array of shops, stalls, bars, and venues to check out in this hip market in London’s Camden town!
