If you are in Budapest and a fan of adventures, the caving tour can be a perfect morning or afternoon program for you. During the summer it can be refreshing point of your day, as well because inside the weather is around 10-15 Celsius. (So don’t leave your jumper at home!) The city is super special because of them as it is the only capital where the sizes and lengths of underground caves formed by natural thermal water are significant, Can you imagine there are more than 200 under the Buda side? The most popular one is the Palvolgyi Cave discovered quite lately, 110 years ago which is part of the longest cave system in Hungary (more than 30 000 metres) and out of it, 500 metres are open for the public. This cave is full with unique dropstones looking like elephants or crocodiles, plus here you can also see magnificent and bright crystals. The others are filled with minerals, while others are also with gorgeous dripstone formations and they are as a real labyrinth. And guess what! There is another one called Szemlo-hegyi Cave where the air is as clean as in the Swiss Alps: no pollution, no dust; with this giving a special therapy to people who suffer from pulmonary diseases (e.g. asthma) Are you ready to descend? Crawling, squeezing, climbing and much more will follow on this tour, excitement and adrenaline is guaranteed, so let’s challenge yourself! If you are up for a real adventure let us know and we can book it for you at our reception!
