1. Alfama District
Alfama is the oldest district in Lisbon and is located right in the heart of the city. Known for its old age charm with traditional colourful houses and mazes of narrow cobbled streets, this district offers you instagrammable sights on every corner. Keep your eyes open and pay attention to the minor details – let the multiple colours of Alfama and the constant presence of sunshine inspire you!
2. Painted arch – Rua Norberto de Araújo
Right next to the famous Portas do Sol viewpoint, you can find one of the most instagrammable spots in Lisbon – “The History of Lisbon” painted arch. This mural describes the history of this beautiful city from its foundation until nowadays with funny and colourful cartoons. The location of this painted arch is on Rua Noberto de Araújo.
3. Rua de São Tomé – Vhills Artwork of Amália
If you enjoy urban art than this spot is for you! Vhills is a world known Portuguese graffiti/street art artist that created several artworks in Lisbon. This cobbled stone mosaic is located in the heart of Alfama and represents the Face of Amália Rodrigues, the queen of Fado in Portugal, as an homage to her life and career.
4. Fado Graffiti Wall – Escadinhas de São Cristóvão
Since we are in the mood for Fado and Street Art we will give you another amazing spot that combines these two arts: the famous Fado Graffiti Wall located in Escadinhas de São Cristóvão. To celebrate Fado several artists get together and painted this amazing mural filled with well-known Portuguese historical characters.
5. Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara – View Point
Lisbon is known for the city of seven hills so, as you may guess, there are plenty of viewpoints to admire the beautiful views over the terracotta rooftops. São Pedro de Alcântara viewpoint provides a panoramic view over Lisbon’s downtown and perfect for your instagram photos!

6. Elevador da Bica – Funicular
Bica district is known for its famous funicular railway line facing one of the steepest slopes in the city. Rua da Bica is probably one of the most photograph spots in Lisbon however there is much more to explore in Bica district with different perspectives of the historical funicular. If you are willing to explore step down some streets and find some unique and authentic places!
7. The Pink Street – Cais do Sodré
If you are a nightlife howl you probably know this place in Lisbon – The Pink Street in Cais do Sodré. Well forget photographs during the night because it will be packed of people drinking and hanging out on the streets, therefore our suggestion is to step by during day light and enjoy the colour contrasts between the pink street (yes, it is vivid pink paint) and the historical buildings nearby.

9. MAAT – Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology

10. Parque das Nações – Expo Park Lisbon
