The tour of the city starts at Plaza de la Virgen, in the historical centre of Valencia. This square is the most beautiful and emblematic of Valencia. Here you’ll see some important monuments such as the Catedral and the Basilica de la Virgen.
Catedral de Valencia
The Catedral de Valencia is one of the best and favourite places to visit in the city. The Barrio del Carmen is the best-known district in Valencia, and it’s located in the area of the Ciutat Vella. The name of the Barrio comes from a convent that was right in the centre of this area. Here you’ll admire many examples of medieval architecture, but also you can see monuments of Muslim and Christian origin.
There is so much to discover and to visit in this Barrio. You can visit the main museums, and monuments, but also go to the market or have lunch in one of the many restaurants and bars.
