Latroupe Grand Place Hostel

We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children) and from 25 to 27 January 2024 we spent a few days in Brussels and found excellent accommodation in Latroupe Grote Markt a few steps from the Grande Place and easily accessible by metro and bus. We were immediately struck by the youthful appearance: upon entering you immediately notice the writing "the young is the heart". The young people who run the place immediately proved to be very helpful and kind. The room (ours was a room with a double bed and a bunk bed) was also very welcoming. Great venue. Really happy with the choice made.

Very clean and comfortable, pleasant staff, very complete breakfast. On the other hand, it's really too hot in the rooms.

I have had a very good experience with this hostel. The rooms are very well maintained and clean, the beds are very comfortable and have a curtain to have a little privacy. The treatment of the staff was exceptional, especially Denis and Daniel, they are always willing to help and give the best treatment to the client. A ten out of ten!

First class hotel, everything is extremely modern and functional. Large rooms, powerful heater and smart TV. On the ground floor there is a bar/restaurant and at night there is happy hour with various attractions, such as karaoke and drinking games. There is also a space for socializing with other guests.

Location is great. You’re in the center of all actions and close to metro which is so convenient. It depends who you get when you check in would leave the first impression of the place. Mine wasn’t wow! But the next morning, the girl who helped me and listened to my concern made it better. Breakfast was okay but not worth €8 per person. Luckily it was offered to me for free for booking directly. The room I stayed in, has a toilet issue but they resolved it the next day. Hot Shower was great. I wish however, the change the curtains rings since they get too noisy when you open them and close them. But I truly appreciate the curtain. It gives you a little privacy which at the end of the day, it is so much needed. The common area is cozy. Overall, Latroupe in both of my stay in Madrid and Brussels have been a positive experience.

Very central accommodation and perfect for going in a group. Clean rooms, although it is a hostel format, there is one bathroom per room, also in the 6 rooms, but it is very good. Breakfast very very good!!! It is worth taking it with the accommodation. Very friendly staff!! And it is a very pleasant place to be. We will repeat for sure!!!

The best hostel I've ever stayed at. Spectacular location, close to all tourist attractions and stations that lead to other countries/airports. The team is incredible, super attentive. The beds are EXCELLENT with TOTAL privacy through the curtains that close completely, the bathrooms are clean and smell good. I highly recommend it!

The treatment was excellent, I especially thank Denis (I hope it is written like that) for helping us carry the suitcases to the taxi (we had to walk a bit), and the girl who was at the reception with him, who recommended good restaurants. I traveled with two elderly people, and the atmosphere was perfect for them (one has a cane). Very good buffet breakfast at 10 euros. The room with bathroom is very clean and bright.

We got a private room and the stay was very good. We didn't have a problem with noise. The room was not that spacious but it was comfortable, the bathroom was very good. The only thing missing was a minibar, but that's not common in a hostel. The staff were super friendly and the location is great. Close to metro stations and just a few minutes from the grand place. Despite being a hostel and having a luggage storage service, this service is paid. 4 euros for 3 hours and 9 euros for the whole day unless I'm mistaken. We used the service as we arrived before check-in time.

A good breakfast and off we go for the visits... Perfect location! Lovely staff... Top notch bedding. Own. In short, on a trip with my children (12 and 9 years old), everything could have been perfect... Too bad for the cold water (in the evening) in the shower and its lack of pressure...

Very good place! Clean rooms and silence, exactly what we need after a day of traveling. Wonderful service!

I had a great experience at the hostel. Great location, in the city center (but a 15-minute walk from the train stations) Room is a little small, but offers plenty of privacy with the curtain on the beds, lamp, USB port and socket. The bathroom is located inside the room and is a good size. The hostel offered free beer on the first night, in addition to having a daily evening program for activities and board games. Negative point: we have to rent towels and the cleaning of the floor left a little to be desired.

Truly a great hotel. The staff is very friendly, the beds are comfortable and the location is good central. We went with 10 friends. The only thing that could be improved is the fact that some rooms overlook an outdoor area in the middle of the hotel, but there is no possibility to open the windows.

Superb youth hostel! Great atmosphere with a great welcome. Great breakfast. Very comfortable beds. Everything is clean. The only problem for me is the shower attached to the ceiling. I like being able to use the shower head to wash myself 😅 everything is perfect otherwise

A very solid hostel in itself. The staff are extremely friendly. The location is also really good, as is the public transport connection. The cleanliness could be better. Throwing liters of chlorine is not cleaning. The room smelled really strongly of chlorine and on the second day the shower smelled abnormally. In general, the sanitary facilities are the biggest problem. There are no shelves in the shower and the doors between the room and the toilet/shower are as thin as cardboard. More like the doors of changing rooms in swimming pools. So when you go to the toilet, everyone can hear whether you're doing a big or small business. The shared room I was in was also very dark, even when you turned the light on.

Definitely the best hostel I've been in so far. Everything was perfect from the clean rooms to the friendly staff. I'd love to come back
