The St Christopher's Edinburgh Hostel is located in the beautiful medieval Old Town of Edinburgh. This is the perfect central city location for exploring Edinburgh, just a short stroll from the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle and the Scottish National Galleries. The hostel is a great place to meet new people with the buzzing backpacker bar Belushi's downstairs where there is always something going on. Expect daily drink deals, a fantastic food menu and party nights. Don't forget that no trip to Edinburgh is complete without a taste of Scotland's culinary delight, Haggis! It's also the home of the world's finest whiskey - so if you fancy trying some of Scotland's best scotch or a steaming haggis head downstairs to the hostel's Belushi's Bar and Jake's Place Restaurant. As for rooms, the choice is yours at St. Christopher's. For those who are travelling solo and want to meet some new travel buddies, dorm rooms range from 4, 6, 12, or 18 beds. But if you're looking for a bit more privacy, or travelling as a small group, choose from a Single, Double, 3, 4, or 6 bed private room.

nice hostel on the edge of the city center. (1min walk into town) Staff was also friendly. + clean toilets and showers + air conditioning in the room - There are also buildings that border directly on the train station so it can get louder - mattress was rather uncomfortable - air conditioning is really scary - a green light shines above the door all night long which blinds you when you're at the top

I read the previous reviews and was a bit worried but can't complain in any way. The location is great and the staff was super polite. The rooms and especially the toilet and shower were very clean. The size of the room (8 people) was appropriate. The volume was at a city center level without being annoying. I didn't take advantage of the breakfast, so I can't comment on that. I would like to visit the hostel again when I visit the city.

Good value for money. The single room is comfortable but the shower is not great. Breakfast is not extraordinary but has what you need. Arrive at 3 p.m. not 1 minute early.

Great experience, I know the principle of youth hostels in other cities, this one is very good the rooms are spacious and very good state of mind

Great deal for the price. You could easily walk to all major attractions. I was in a 18 bed mix dormitory and it has an attached bathroom with 1 shower, 1 shower/toilet and a toilet. They do their best to keep the place clean. They are kind of strict about their check-in and check out.

The service in general is good but THEY DO NOT HAVE AN EQUIPPED KITCHEN (there is only a coffee maker and a microwave) which is a great weakness being a HOSTEL if what you are looking for is to save while you travel, they give you a 20% discount in THE RESTAURANT of the company which is good because of the proximity but it is not a big difference compared to the restaurants in the historic center. Very clean and the people who work there are very friendly.

When I booked I thought I would have a single room with a shared bathroom, when I arrived I realized I had one bed in 20, I was a little taken aback, I had never stayed in a hostel. And I must say that I had a very good time. Rooms cleaned every day, essentials never missing, friendly and helpful staff, location of the structure central to all the places most visited by tourists and close to transport stops. What to add, I recommend it and would definitely go back.

My stay at the hostel was great. The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful. In terms of hygiene, the rooms were cleaned daily and so were the beds. The only thing I did not like about my stay was that I was locked out twice during my stay as my room card was deactivated by mistake. It has also got locker room which is great when you are travelling but have checked out of the hostel. Unfortunately, I missed out on the daily events which are great for meeting new people. Overall, it's a great budget place to stay in Edinburgh.

A hostel with an excellent location, discount options for meals. The beds are comfortable, mine was next to the window overlooking Princess Street. For improving the cleanliness of the beds and the supply of toilet paper. Also that they re-enable the self-service laundry area.

Amazing location at one of the most affordable prices in the whole city. Comfortable, cozy dorms with plenty of privacy and large beds. Got upgraded to a 10 bed dorm (from 12), for free! Clean showers and toilets.

Hello there, When you think of a hostel, you tend to stereotype them as a poor quality place, I suppose due to their low costs, because I am happy to inform you that the St. Christopher's Inn does NOT fit those adjectives at all. If you decide to stay here you will find, to begin with, a lobby with a modern, young and welcoming aesthetic, which in the latter, is thanks to its wonderful receptionists willing to help you in any way they can and with various language skills. On the other hand, the rooms are dark enough to guarantee a good rest even when it is more or less early and they have really comfortable bunk beds (at least in my humble opinion), which have curtains, plugs and their own light to allow a certain degree of intimacy. In addition, in the hostel there are several showers and sinks per floor and a room with washers and dryers on the 2nd floor. Finally, let me tell you that if you decide to stay, you'll get a discount at Belushi's, the bar/restaurant across the street. -In short, a perfect place to rest, which magnificently combines good quality with a good price.

Excellent location, a stone's throw from the station and the main streets. The rooms are a little small but the quality/price ratio is very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is connected internally with two bars where you have discounts
