1. Letná Park

Quite literally translating as “summer” in Czech, Letna Park offers unmatched views of the city. You might come for the greenery, but you’ll probably stay for the beer gardens and outdoor bars. There’s classic beer gardens nestled under tree canopies, but our personal fav is the trendy summer spot found beneath the Metronome, Stalin. They serve tasty beers, lemonades, and cocktails, and often host great parties. It’s a spot worth checking out!

2. Riegrovy Sady

Riegrovy Sady, located in the Vinohrady district, was once famous for its vineyards. It’s now home to one of the most popular and largest beer gardens in Prague and is a great summer hangout. They offer plenty of Pilsner, Kozel, and grilled Klobasa. You can also get your beer in a takeaway cup and head to the hill to watch the sun set behind the castle.

If you’re looking for something more local and off the beaten path, try Přístav. a campy spot along the Vltava river in Karlín. You can also try Hospůdka Na Hradbách, located in the original fortress of Vyšehrad. You can’t go wrong with either!

3. Lokál

This summer hangout is known for having the freshest Pilsner Urquell in the city. The Dlouha Trida location is often frequented by tourists, so try U Bílé kuželky. It’s located on a hidden street, only steps away from the Charles Bridge. Hamburk in Karlín 그리고 Nad Stromovkou, found on the edge of Stromovka park, offer the most local vibe.

4. Grébovka

If wine is more your thing, be sure to check out the Sklep Grébovka, located in Havlíčkovy Sady. Enjoy the terrace with some locally produced wine, and take in the views of Vyšehrad and the southern part of the city. Did we mention this hot spot is only a 5 min walk from the 체코 인?!

5. Náměstí Jiřího z Poděbrad (Jiřák)

Wednesday through Saturday you’ll find this well-loved farmers market full of locally produced products. Come taste everything from homemade koláč, to tasty burgers, and microbrews. If you’ve wandered this way after the market has closed – no worries. The square is lined with trendy cafes and bistros offering outdoor seating. It’s a perfect summer hangout!

6. Naplavka

There always seems to be something happening in Naplavka. The area has gone from an empty quay to a bustling boardwalk full of floating bars and frequent food festivals in recent years. The Saturday’s farmers market is also a treat, where you can taste local flavours while strolling the river. In the summer, it’s a popular place in the evening to enjoy a few drinks while people watching.

7. Manifesto Market

This outdoor food and culture market is a cool summer hang out you don’t want to miss. You can find everything from dim sum, poké, Argentinian steak, and french fries within the 20 shipping container market place. If you’re looking for more local flavours, don’t worry! You can get tons of Czech street food, locally roasted coffees, and gelato! Don’t forget to shop the pop-ups from local designers, too!

8. Kasárna Karlín

Kasárna Karlín is a cultural centre set in decaying WWII military barracks. It’s a great summer hot spot for locals and travellers. Come and grab a drink, check out some art, or catch a film in the summer evenings!

9. Containall

This hidden gem is found in the wild Stromovka park, located on the edge of Holešovice and Bubenec. This urban space will instantly transport you out of the city. There’s plenty of lounge chairs to chill on, and even a volleyball court! It’s is owned by the same people behind Stalin bar, so you know it’s going to be good.

10. Altenburg 1964

This is where you’ll find the underground side of Prague. This large cargo-ship turned party warehouse has become the place to be in summer, and is ideal if you’re looking for a good party. The dance floor is located beneath the ships deck, but there’s plenty of open space surrounding the venue to chill in- It also offers fire pits and views of Troja bridge.
