Estate a Varsavia
Spending some time in Summer in Warsaw? Be sure to check out our guide on what to do in the Polish capital!
Poland is an incredible travel destination, and Varsavia in Summer is a must stop on your adventure. Almost a quarter of the city is green space, offering many attractions for visitors to spend their summer days. We want to help you make the most out of your time in this charming city, so read on for our guide to Summer in Warsaw!
The Riverside
The Vistula River is the place to be in summer in Warsaw, especially if you feel like dancing! There’s lots of places to kick up your heels, but we recommend, ‘La Playa’. They organise weekly Zumba and Salsa classes, and also offer great music and drinks. We also recommend BarKa, which is a bar on the boat. They’re known for their great atmosphere and events!
But if dancing isn’t your thing, no problem! There are boulevards on the left side of the river, so biking or sitting with a beer is a pretty common summer activity. And on the right side of the river, you can find sandy beaches to have a campfire on. So prepare your marshmallows, buy some campfire wood, and enjoy the summer eve!
Pawilony
It’s a popular student district with around 30 little bars, pubs, and Shisha places. But more importantly, it’s cheap! You’ll meet a lot of local people here, and is definitely worth visiting in the evenings to get a taste of Warsaw nightlife in summer.
Targ Śniadaniowy
Each weekend, this international food fair takes place and is sure to satisfy your cravings. Get a taste of authentic Polish cuisine, or try something different if you’d like. They also offer yoga classes, and its location is perfect if you just want to chill in a grassy area and take in the summer day.
Food Trucks
Żarcie Na Kółkach takes place beside the PKIN or at the National Stadium, but the events are held regularly, so check out their Facebook page for current info.
Park Activities
Warsaw hosts a regular event called Yoga on the Grass and it’s held in different parks in the centre of the city. To find out more check out their Facebook event.
Not interested in yoga? The city has open air cinemas, and almost always have English films or subtitles!
Water Sports at Port Czerniakowski
Believe it or not, Warsaw has tons of options for water sports! It’s the perfect activity on any summer day in Warsaw and will surely get your adrenaline pumping. Our top recommendations are:
- Port Czerniakowski – wake boarding, kayaking, or kayak polo.
- Pomost 511 – Stand Up Paddle (SUP)
- Strefa Sportu nad Wisłą – skim boarding
Musica dal vivo
Il International Jazz Music Festival is a free, open air festival in the centre of the Old Town in Warsaw. You can listen to some of the best musicians in the world, surrounded by a historical city centre.
Łazienki Park hosts a classical music festival every Sunday, featuring music from Chopin.
Park Fontann
Not far from the Old Town and the river side is this unique attraction. Every Friday and Saturday, they host a light show on the fountains, paired with music! And if you’re not here on the weekends, the fountains still run so you can still see some
Where to Stay in Warsaw
Our top recommendation in the Polish capital is Oki Doki Hostel located in the heart of the city. You’ll love their atmosphere, and they’ll even teach you how to make pierogies!
