Start in the city centre and check out the impressive Duomo of Como, which took over 400 years to complete. Wandering around the charming town will whisk you away to a what feels like a different world. Stroll along the waterfront and enjoy views from Villa del Balbianello, and take a water taxi to wherever you please! You'll be blown away at the gorgeous villas and mansions scattered along the shoreline. For more impressive views of Como from above, take the funicular to Brunate,
And if you want to get out into the nature, there are plenty of hiking options around Lake Como. It's truly a great destination to get a healthy dose of culture and fresh air!

Very central, easy to reach from the train station. I had booked an 8-person room because I was only on the return journey, but at check-in the employee suggested booking me into a smaller (5-person room) at no extra charge for me. I thought it was great that you could get free drinks during the day and there was a water refill station. Attention was also paid to waste separation. My only suggestion/wish for improvement would be a little more vegan selection at breakfast (but that's generally difficult in hostels). Would definitely come back 😊
