The Saint Sava church is one of the main symbols of the capital. It’s the largest Orthodox cathedral in the world and the most visited place in Belgrade. This temple was recently constructed, it was consecrated in 2000. The cathedral is dedicated to Saint Sava, the founder of the Serbian Orthodox Church. The outside of the temple is very impressive. It’s characterized by a white marble facade and four towers. Instead, The central dome, the semi-domes, and the domes above the towers are covered in copper. While the inside is characterized by decorations with floral motifs in white marble and travertine. You’ll also see the crypt that contains the treasure and relics of Saint Sava.
