Cats Hostel’s best facilities and activities

One of the best features of Cats Hostel’s in Madrid, is the patio. This spectacular 17th-century Arab-Andalusian-style patio is located in the heart of the hostel and has a stunning fountain right in the middle. Depending on the day, you can relax, enjoy historical heritage, or join an enormous party with your fellow travellers.

Another place to socialise and have fun is the hostel’s in-house bar. With the best Spanish sangria, Madrid beer, special shots, and a lot of space for you and your friends,.
The most unique thing about this hostel is the place we call “The Cave,” which is another chill zone by day and transforms by night. Experience concerts, flamenco shows, speed dating, jam sessions, or themed parties there. Hostel party animal guests can participate in the Pub Crawl activities to experience Madrid nightlife to the fullest!

Probably one of the cleanest rooms I’ve stayed in on this trip, the cleaners do a really good job and the front desk staff are always happy to help. Things don’t happen as planned though, the pub crawl “starts” 2130 but you don’t leave until 2330 so it’s not really a crawl when the first bar is the hostel you’re staying in. The drinking games started over an hour late and then they wouldn’t let you have more than one game at a time because apparently it would make too much mess, it’s a party hostel with drinking games and they’re worried about making a mess! Makes no sense. The so called free dinner is just pasta with a little bit of pesto, hardly inventive!

Good location, nice staff and fair price. Tip, book directly with the hostel and not through extra sites. It's still significantly cheaper :)

In winter 2020 I stayed almost a month in this hostel. I felt fine because my bed was at an angle and the design seemed a bit closed to him. the cleaning staff were great every day the rooms and showers were done well. two years ago but I have not forgotten. If I come back to Madrid with the same budget I will come back for sure, it is also central and for sociable people there is a bar

Cool hostel for young people and solo travelers. Rooms were clean and the showers/toilets were always great! Unfortunately the air was a bit stuffy in the rooms.

Cozy and clean place! Delicious coffee, I particularly found the value compensating, I paid €5, entitled to everything! Take a bath towel, because they charge 5€ rent. Very dear attendants, all of them. We also paid €2 to leave the suitcase until close to the time of our departure from Madrid. Heated rooms, I got hot at night! Availability of pillow, blanket, sheet and over sheet.

Great atmosphere and an outstanding room. Unfortunately, the bar is very crowded from the start of the pub crawl and then deserted in places. The relaxation areas are really very spacious and the location of the hostel is also excellent.

The place is super nice aesthetically, however the private room for 2 without window or VENTILATION (although we do it the room smelled very empty bad: yet no dirty stuff in it or wet towel that we had taken care to put in the private bathroom which has a VMC). There are distributors if thirsty during the night and something to wash your clothes as well as a kitchen area. As in all these places, despite the passage of maintenance workers, the hostel is always a little dirty: tasszs lying around or pieces of toilet paper on the floor because the residents are not very respectful. Besides, it's very complicated to rest at night or in the morning because of the noise and slamming doors (poor insulation and disrespect of the residents): but hey, it's a youth hostel not a 3-star hotel.

Super recommended hostal especially for those traveling alone. They organize many events and free tours. Very clean and quite large with bar, reading room and dining room. Friendly staff. Fantastic value for money. Opportunity to make many friends. The environment is quite young.

Very good!!! A really great hostel, if you take a cheap 4-bed room, it can almost be compared to a hotel. Young, open-minded, polite and helpful staff, many cheap and partly free leisure activities, a beautiful, historic inner courtyard and much more. Has a really cool bar where people party every night. Highly recommended. Keep it up

Good value for money Pleasant bar with a Happy Hour every day from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Nice breakfast that is worth it for only €2 The rooms are basic, but there is what is needed, the cleanliness is rather average nevertheless. The hostel is quite well located in the city, not far from the Prado Museum and Puerta del Sol

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean facilities. Very central location. Nice atmosphere. Check out at 11. The dormitory where I was staying has no windows, so it smells. There is an air conditioner and my bed was a few inches below it.
