The architect Victor Vasarely said of his vision:

“we must fight against the visual pollution caused by the massive apartment buildings built in the 1960s which were inhuman and devoid of life. We must help people escape the dullness of their daily routines”

The Vasarely Foundation is a listed building and is made up of sixteen hexagonal modules connected together making for a fascinating structure.

Inaugurated in 1976, you can now visit Le Centre Architectonique in Aix-en-Provence  as an easy day trip from the beautiful city of Marseille.
