25 years sleeping with the best
Europe’s Famous Hostels is an association with a group of 37 independently ran hostels from all around Europe who grouped together to promote each other and create a community in the hostel world.
It all started in 1995, when the owners of 5 of the most top rated hostels in Europe got together combining strengths with the main goal of self promotion, knowledge sharing and celebrate friendship. This group named itself as “The Famous Five”.
Throughout the last 25 years, The Famous Five has been an active part of the evolution of a once unexploited industry, and followed the upcoming demand for the so-called “new concept” of budget stylish accommodation growing its network to over 50 hostels.
In 2001 The Famous Five re-launched themselves as Europe’s Famous Hostels and have been expanding ever since being currently constituted by 37 members.
Every Famous Hostel is an independent hostel assuring guests an authentic, local experience in each of our locations. Our hostels are trend setters, constantly seeking for what is new in the market guaranteeing the best stay for its guests. It’s not about selling beds, it’s about providing the best experience.
Staying at a Famous Hostels means diving into an unique experience across our European network. Being a member means getting into a communtiy with solid sharing tools, benefits, and knowledge from the most various backgrounds.
In a dynamic market as travel we are always looking for new partnerships, interesting projects & travel passionates to embark on the genuine backpacker experience.
