On a Budget
Madrid has a bit of the both worlds, the contemporary west and the traditional Southern European style bars. There are some expensive hotspots while there are many things to do on a budget. If you wish to explore nightlife in Madrid on a low budget, then you must have the right plan and the right approach.
You have to decide what all you wish to do and in what sequence. You can’t trapse around the city in one night and hope to explore it all. You can start off your evening by visiting a few places which do not charge you any penny or you can go for a drink.
Should you decide to explore some places for free then you can start with the museums that have free hours or you can visit the free exhibits, concerts and films. If you are a movie buff then you would love the plenty of films that are played for free. The exhibits and concerts are also a treat for the right pair of eyes and ears.
Hit the bars
If you wish to get started with a drink then you should hit the bars where you can grab a beer and get free tapas.
This is a favorite among backpackers. You can pay for the beer and a sumptuous plate of tapas would be absolutely free. Unless you are very hungry or you have a fascinatingly huge appetite, this free plate of tapas would take care of you for a major part of the night.
There are some places where you can jam with jazz sessions. It is absolutely free. If you are a musician or have one in your group then this can be a very fun experience. As you would imagine, such places also provide you with drinks at economic prices. Your experiencing the nightlife in Madrid would be incomplete if you do not explore the city itself. The calm city in all its glory would be mesmerizing for any and sundry. You can also grab a bike at a very nominal rate and go on a ride along the Manzanares River.
If you have some disposable cash at hand then you must explore a bit of the posh nightlife in Madrid, at any of the upscale clubs.
Go to dance in one nightclub
Madrid is the place where you could find so many clubs, it’s impossible to not be satisfied. If you like fancy and exclusive atmosphere, we advise you to visit Teatro Barceló or Bling Bling club, these are the trendy clubs in the Spanish capital. You could listen commercial and electro music there, and the average age here it’s 25 years old. If you want to try something a little original, go to the Kapital club, a club with 7 floors where you can dance to pop, rnb, reggaeton, rock music… and where you can even do karaoke with your friends on the top floor. If you are looking for a more relaxed atmosphere, it is the Joy Eslava Club that should suit you, it turns into a concert hall some evenings where you can listen live to many artists. Moreover, every night the theme of the party changes, you can spend a 100% rock night one day and one totally different the next day. Finally, you can go to the Fabrik, one big club outside the city which can welcome 7000 persons and where you could listen electro music.
We leave you with one tip, you can join Madrid Lux guestlist and you will have discounts or free access to the best clubs of the city. You will also find informations about the main parties of the week in Madrid.
