The most instagrammable spots in Prague

Iconic architecture, red roofs all over the city, old-world charm, unique and eclectic cafés, and bars…there’s a lot which makes Prague an Instagrammer’s dream city. So much in fact, that it can be hard to pick the most Insta-worthy spots to photograph, yet it should be unique. Take out time to go off route, as you will be able to discover gorgeous settings that are perfect for photography. Along with that, you get an incredible view no matter which direction you look, encouraging you to dive into Prague’s rich culture. Here’s a look at some of the spots that we think you will find inspiring!

Lesser Town swans

Head to the waterfront on the west side of Charles Bridge and you will find a small park. Here you can view the beautiful river and swans’ swimming along. If you are lucky and the season is right, you will see more swans then you have in your entire life. These swans are located just north of the bridge and are referred to as the lesser town side. The best time to visit and capture the river and swans is right before sunset.

Prague’s Loreta

Prague’s Loreta caught an eye by only a few tourists, which makes it a perfect Instagram photo. With low houses, narrow streets and a picturesque empty park. A remarkable Baroque pilgrimage complex including the Santa Casa, enclosed by cloisters, the Church of the Nativity of Our Lord and the steeple with its world-famous carillon, has stood for nearly four hundred years. It is indeed a special place in Prague that charms tourists with its beauty.

Vrtba Garden

Magnificent views of Prague and Prague Castle are opening from Vrtba Garden. Baroque terraced gardens, neatly decorated flower arrangements and ivy-clad walls are incredibly photogenic. You would need to spend some cash on the entrance, but you will learn that the ticket is worth the beauty this park has to offer. With a top hill view of the city and a clean and calming garden around you; you will automatically feel blessed with beauty.

Sidewalk near Charles Bridge (Along Smetanovo nabrezi)

If you are looking for a spot from where you will be able to capture a part of Charles Bridge, and Prague castle at the same time, then head down the path from the Charles Bridge. It is located just south of Charles bridge and is at the east riverside of the old town. Any time is perfect to get a picture as every season and every weather has its own beauty and effect: cold and quiet evening offers the perfect reflection in the river below, and makes a stunning overall impression of the city.  During rainy days it adds more mystery to the photos. You can make your own perfect capture.

Terasa “U Prince”

The stunning view from the terrace totally worth the effort getting through the crowds there. The terrace is located on the 5th floor of the Hotel, in the Restaurant “U Prince”. Here you have the double shot, engaging into the Czech food culture, plus having the best spot on the vibrant Old Town Square, featuring all the important sights. Better to make a reservation to secure your hot-spot. #followmwtotherooftop

Rašínovo nábřeží & Náplavka

That is the place of the beautiful sunsets over Vltava River that you could easily fall in love with. Rašínovo nábřeží is currently the most attractive and socially liveliest area of river banks in the central part of Prague. It offers a great number of activities during the year ranging from regular farm markets to sporting, cultural and gastronomic events, so you will definitely make a truly unique shot there for your Instagram feed.

Vinárna Bokovka

Stylish backyard hidden in the center of Prague. With a glass of wine, enjoy the history of the arcade yard. It really remembers a lot – a house at the Green Tree, where it has been standing there since the 15th century. It would be an interesting twist in your Instagram feed from the main attractions, in addition, positive vibes and the local atmosphere.

Vinohrady district

Vinohrady, an elegant residential area with breathtaking Neo-Renaissance, Art Nouveau and Baroque architecture with gorgeous green spaces that we call home. Meaning vineyards in Czech, the 14th century Vinohrady was nothing more than just that. Composed by history. Vinohrady is the sleek, hip, and international neighborhood to wine and dine your way through Prague’s more modern establishments. Any street you would turn might be the perfect street-look for your next stylish Instagram photo.
